It's our first Tea Time!

Although we have shared many a cup of tea together we have never put our witterings up on a blog until now. Vicki and I love Skype because we can talk for as long as we like and show each other the nice things that we have found/seen that week, so we thought we would do the same with you.

We hope you enjoy our tea time musings; we’ll try and put them up as often as possible.

Cotton Reel Holder

v - Just a sentimental thing to share, found in my Nanna's belongings, a cotton reel holder complete with old wooden cotton reels!  This will be treasured and hung on the wall for me to appreciate every day!

Cute Flowers

v - Love these little white flowers, love these ones even more as they're a present, aww! Trying to grow some of my own, planted the seeds yesterday so fingers crossed!

Postcard - (details from 'crazy patchwork' bag with mostly hand-embroidered silks 1930-40)

v - A postcard sent from the lovely Meggie (currently living in Santa Cruz, CA) from Nottingham Museum's Costume Collection, England. Something that reminded her of me.

Laundrette

v - An old laundrette in the next town from me, makes a great pic!

Seed Paper

v - The first time I've seen one of these promotional 'seeds in paper' things (maybe something that hasn't made it into Portugal yet!)... plant in soil and watch it grow!  Watch this space then! Another cool gift from Meggie.

Book – ‘Birds Eat and Eat and Eat’ by Roma Gans and illustrated by Ed Emberley

a – I found this book and just think the illustrations are beautiful. I love how sketchy the pictures are and the way it’s been printed. The title is just perfect too. I borrowed it from the library so will be very sad when I have to give it back. I’ll certainly be on the look out for more books illustrated by Ed Emberley.

Mini Doilies and Flower

a – I found these at a flea market last weekend and have a few already. I think they are for doll houses which I’ve never been a massive fan of, but I love how delicate they are.

Mini-Shelves

a – I also bought this set of mini-shelves (I’m sorry I don’t know what else to call them) I’ve wanted one of these for ages and can’t wait to fill it up with lovely things and hang it on the wall.

More Cute Flowers

a – Vicki and I are officially fans of flowers and I am so happy these grape hyacinths are every where at the moment. I can’t get enough of the almost cornflower blue colour of the flowers and will definitely be buying a few more. Spring is here, yeah!!!
